I deleted a comment from a person that was angry with me over a post that did not meet his need to feel validated. I feel sad that he is hurting so much. It is a reminder to myself that not everyone is in the same place when they read my blog. I’ve been writing this blog for over 2 years. My other blog over 5 years. I sometimes forget how dark a hole I was in; how dark a hole some of my readers are in right now. I share what I do in hopes that my experience of getting out of a dark hole will help someone else. Sometimes to some people what I say seems invalidating. Sometimes I’m human and I write stuff that doesn’t help. Not everyone that reads my blog reads the first page so I am posting the disclaimer here.
Disclaimer: I am not a psychologist, psychiatrist or any other …ist. I am one woman living with PTSD since before I was 5 years old. Nothing on my website is intended to diagnose, prescribe, or otherwise dictate to anyone else how they should live. Everything I share I read about and/or tried with varying degrees of success. Throughout these pages I recommend getting professional counseling. I am not a professional. I care and I thrive. I hope that each person reading will take responsibility for themselves and their choices. Ask your health care provider about any suggestions that you may want to try. Just because something works for me doesn’t mean it will work for you. I don’t believe that we live in a One-Size-Fits-All world. Thank you for sharing my experience. Good luck.
